FAQ

  • I am in-network with Aetna, United Healthcare, Oxford, Oscar and Blue Cross Blue Shield for New York state residents. I am an out-of-network provider with all other insurance providers, which means if you have out-of-network reimbursement benefits for telehealth mental healthcare you could receive reimbursement for some percentage of my fee depending on your plan. You might have a deductible to meet before you’re eligible for out-of-network reimbursement or there might be restrictions on the duration of sessions or how many sessions you are eligible for. It’s important that you find out from your insurance exactly what your coverage is. If you decide to use out-of-network benefits, you will be responsible for paying the full fee of each session upfront and I will provide you with a monthly Superbill document that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

My out-of-pocket rates are $225 for individual sessions and $300 for couples sessions. I accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as FSA and HSA cards.

  • I meet with both individuals and couples on a weekly basis for about 60-minutes per session.

  • I have specialized training in eating disorders/disordered eating and trauma. I also have experience working with people who struggle with anxiety, shame, perfectionism, ADHD, and depression. I have a passion for working with folks exploring queerness for the first time.

  • I meet with folks over the phone for a free 15-minute consultation before scheduling a first session. During a consultation, we’ll talk about what is bringing you to therapy and what’s important to you when it comes to your own experience in therapy. I’ll share with you about my approach to see if we could be a good fit.

The first few sessions will be dedicated to getting to know you and your world. I’ll be curious to hear about your aspirations, hobbies, the important relationships in your life, your daily living, health history, and foundational experiences growing up. We’ll define what you want to work on and come up with a plan together to start working towards your goals.

I believe the most foundational piece of a successful therapy is the connection you feel with your therapist. At the core of this for me is listening to and honoring how you define yourself and your experiences. My aim is to create a space with you where you feel you can bring all of your multitudes and trust that they will be met with empathy, warmth, and understanding.

  • Nope, there is nothing you need to prepare to start therapy. Some people start therapy knowing what they would like to work on and others are unsure. If you know what you would like to work on, I would love to hear about it and if you are not sure, I am happy to discover with you how you would like therapy to support you.

  • You are welcome to contact me to schedule a free, 15-minute phone consultation. I look forward to hearing from you!
